24" Magnetic Tool Holder

I ordered 2 of these as some of the initial accessories for my slatwall. I was surprised when they arrived as they are not specifically designed for the Garage Envy slatwall, but instead come with 2 accessory brackets that must be screwed on (you can see the bracket behind the 2nd set of pliars in the picture). These are made in China (I believe) and are really designed to be screwed directly to a wall/stud. Therefore, the addition of the accessory bracket is not nearly as solid as the other accessories. While the accessory bracket works, it is not solid and the magnet really only held in place on the slatwall by the weight of the magnet (i.e. the lower edge is not connected). Therefore, you need to be careful when removing tools because you pull the tool up instead of down to release it from the magnet the magnet could fall off the wall. This is also likely true in case of an earthquake (common here in California) - I believe it will be easy for these to fall off the slatwall with even a moderately sized quake. Hopefully you won't have anything below this as it is quite heavy and could do some damage if it fell any distance. Otherwise, the magnet is very strong and the length (24") is good to hold several tools. However, the yellow strip pictured above is not painted on, but is a sticker applied to the metal. Also, the black portion is paint (not powder coated) and chips/scratches easily when removing tools. Therefore, I don't expect these to look "pretty" for very long (but who cares since this is in the garage).
